Trinity Band Members

The Band Trinity was formed in Naples, Florida in 2007 for the love of Irish music. Members are Peter Michael Heaney, P.J. Rooney, and Rob Koch.

Peter and P.J. are both from Ireland, County Down and County Monaghan, respectively. In Ireland, Peter performed in a rock band and his background is rich not only with Irish tunes and songs but with contemporary music of the 60’s and 70’s. P.J. has played traditional music and long time experience with Irish show bands. Rob, a classically trained violinist, heard about the local “sessions” and has found playing Irish fiddle to be both fun and rewarding.

The Band Trinity performs both Irish and Contemporary music.

Peter is home grown IRISH, born and bred in Belfast .

He comes from a musical family. His father, Frank, was a well-known fiddle player from Portadown, a town in County Armagh, Northern Ireland.

Peter left Belfast in 1970 at the height of the TROUBLES and immigrated to Toronto, Canada where quickly he joined the vibrant music scene. Fast forward 23 years, he couldn’t take the snow any longer and emigrated to Naples, Florida in 1993.
